Susan Seidman

SUE Seidman PrfPhoto1 copySusan Seidman is an inspirational professional coach and a masterful public speaker whose active part in the coaching profession positions her as a pioneer in the field, especially in Hispanic countries and organizations.

In 1999, the award-winning public relations firm, Patrice Tanaka & Co., hired Susan as their internal coach and wellness manager.  Her role included individual as well as group coaching sessions, team coaching, and motivational sessions for the organization.  Her presence was particularly crucial after the 911 terrorist’ attack which occurred just two miles from the PT&Co. offices.  Her capacity to calm, validate, support, and ultimately inspire the staff to process their emotions and face the present with hope and commitment, won her great admiration.

Susan co-founded Coaching For Wellness with Annie Torres in 2004 and took the position of director for the Puerto Rico branch of iPEC, a coach training organization, bringing the first formal coach certification training to the Island.  Through iPEC, she trained a large amount of PR’s existing coaches and helped set the foundation for the profession’s standards and ethics in Puerto Rico.

Five years later and under Coaching For Wellness, Susan launched a certified business coach-training program that is presently taught in Bogotá, and Lima.  In Puerto Rico and in conjunction with Universia, a portal that services universities in thirteen Hispanic countries, the certification program is also running with plans to open in those countries over the next two years.  This course was inspired by Susan’s belief in coaching as a transformational process, especially for leaders, which does not merely consist of creating a set of action plans, but rather inspires and supports individuals and teams to reach deep within, connect to their personal best, take responsibility for their outcomes, and learn self awareness in order to grow and sustain change.

As Susan continued to hone her professional skills as the personal coach for Deloitte’s head internal coach in the New York office in 2006, she designed two courses for Deloitte: Coaching 101 and Emotional Intelligence 101. Over a two-year period, her coaches presented these courses to thousands of Deloitte HR employees with enormous success and receptivity.

Susan received her MCC accreditation from the International Coach Federation in December of 2005 and as Partner of Coaching For Wellness, services clients all over Latin America.  CFW offices reside in New Jersey and Puerto Rico.
